High Holiday Appeal

Friday, 16 September, 2016 - 1:22 pm

As we pray to the Al-Mighty for compassion, let us now act in kind toward our fellow man… “On Rosh Hashanah, [one’s fate for the coming year] is inscribed, and on the fast of Yom Kippur, it is sealed…” – High Holiday Liturgy

During the High Holy Days, it is customary to supplement our prayers for Divine mercy and compassion with deeds of mercy and compassion of our own. Be it through schools, camps, adult education, community outreach, crisis intervention or hospital and nursing home programs, Chabad is always there to help those in our community who are physically or spiritually in need. These programs are now in need of your support. Just as your Tzedakah – your gift of “chai” – at this most propitious time of year will help bring “life”, joy, inspiration, comfort and vitality to another, so may it bring added measures of “chai” to you and yours.

We are not supported by any central office and 100% of every donation stays local for Winnipeg's Jewish community. Your kind and generous gift will enable us to share the beauty and depth of Judaism with the next generation.

We take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones: L'shana Tova Tikatevu V'Techateimu. May you be inscribed and sealed for a happy, healthy and sweet year both materially and spiritually.

Contributions are tax-deductible. Please make checks payable to: Lubavitch Centre.
