International renowned speaker and author Mrs. Rivkah Slonim will be in Winnipeg on Monday, May 18, 2015, to offer a fast paced, honest, contemporary look at Mikvah; one of Judaism's most central --yet widely misunderstood-- Biblical commandments. Discover the spiritual, metaphysical, physiological and practical aspects of intimacy from a Jewish perspective and what it means to connect at this deepest of levels.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session, book signing, and a delicious buffet of Sushi & Wine.
Mrs. Rivkah Slonim is the education director at the Rohr Chabad Center for Jewish Student Life and a lecturer on Jewish Medical Ethics at Binghamton University. A self-described "Chassidic Feminist", she lectures internationally on the intersection of Jewish observance and contemporary life with a special focus on Jewish women.
This is the third of a three-part lecture series presented by the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI). Each lecture is followed by a delicious buffet to nourish body, mind and spirit.
