Today the government announced that we would not be required to
meet a LEED silver standard (where the materials used in the construction
are monitored, at our expense), but a green standard (which is more or less
self-monitoring).
This announcement effectively reduces the cost of construction by several hundred thousand dollars (as the monitoring and reporting costs are removed).
