Green Standard
Today the government announced that we would not be required to
meet a LEED silver standard (where the materials used in the construction
are monitored, at our expense), but a green standard (which is more or less
self-monitoring).
This announcement effectively reduces the cost of construction by several hundred thousand dollars (as the monitoring and reporting costs are removed).
$2.9M raised toward $3.9M goal
As we enter the year 2010, $2.9Million has been raised.
This leaves us with one million to go!
