Mission Statement

Chabad-lubavitch of Winnipeg strives to ignite Jewish hearts with a passionate appreciation of our Jewish identity and a love of our heritage – inspiring men, women, and children with the richness of Torah and the beauty of mitzvot.

At the core of all our programs is the belief in the tremendous potential for spiritual growth that is inherent in each individual Jew.

We are committed to promoting the growth and quality of Jewish life in Winnipeg.

Chabad-Lubavitch of Winnipeg opened its doors in 1972 and played a vital role in shaping Winnipeg’s Jewish community. Affiliated with the worldwide Chabad movement, a workforce that comprises many thousands of representatives with over 3500 centers operating in 73 Countries, Chabad-Lubavitch pioneered the notion of modern Jewish outreach and is considered to be the most dynamic force in Jewish life today.

However, it is Chabad-Lubavitch policy that each center is supported by the community it serves. Chabad-Lubavitch of Winnipeg does not receive any funding from Chabad international headquarters. All funding for local Chabad programs is solicited locally. No money is sent to international Chabad headquarters.
