Are You a Happy Person?

This November, the Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) will present How Happiness Thinks: Jewish Perspectives on Positive Psychology, the institute’s new six-session fall 2014 course. Rabbi Shmuly Altein of Chabad-Lubavitch will conduct the six course sessions at 7:30 pm on Tuesdays, starting November 4th at the Jewish Learning Centre.

JLI Launches "Chabad Young Professionals"

We are excited to announce JLI's newest initiative "Chabad Young Professionals". Chabad Young Professionals aims to build, educate, engage, and energize a young and vibrant Jewish community. The ongoing social and educational programming will be specifically geared to the young professional community, creating a sense of enrichment and belonging amongst young Jewish adults.

Bar Mitzvah Club

In Judaism, turning 13 is very important: it’s when you become Bar Mitzvah—a Jewish adult. 

The goal of the Bar Mitzvah club is to teach you all about this stage of your life and why it’s so important in a fun, exciting way. The club is open to all Jewish boys in grade 7, regardless of whether or not you will be celebrating your bar mitzvah at Chabad.
