Jewish Calendar 2013/14 - Ads, Greetings & Date Dedications

Winnipeg's first and longest running Jewish calendar is published each year by Chabad-Lubavitch and distributed free of charge to thousands of Jewish homes. The calendar features more than 100 local businesses and contains pertinent information on Jewish holidays, candle lighting times, and information on Chabad-Lubavitch’s plethora of programs and services.

Winnipeg Summer Yeshiva

The Winnipeg Summer Yeshiva, a one-on-one yeshiva designed for you, is returning to Winnipeg this year by popular demand! The Yeshiva, located at the Jewish Learning Centre, will run from Tuesday, July 30 to Tuesday, August 20.

A handpicked team of rabbinical students will offer one-on-one study sessions custom designed to meet your individual needs, in a comfortable atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Choose from a wide range of subjects, from Mishna to Mysticism, and learn how to apply the ancient wisdom of the Torah to daily life.

Like all JLI programs, the Winnipeg Summer Yeshiva is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning.

Triumph of Hope - Tisha B'Av Program

Join us for an evening of film, study and personal reflection. Triumph of Hope is a 25 minute documentary, accompanied by a 50-minute JLI learning experience, about finding faith during difficult times.

The film is a professionally-produced, emotionally-gripping and intense documentary featuring holocaust survivors recounting their own personal recollections of faith, courage and Jewish identity amidst the horrors of the Holocaust, along with a rare video clip of the Lubavitcher Rebbe speaking about the Holocaust.
